LPU DE conducted Educational Awareness Seminar at Police Recruitment Training Centre

An Educational Awareness seminar was conducted by LPU Distance Education officials for Police Personnel at Police Recruitment Training Centre, Jahan Khelan, Hoshiarpur to make them aware about various provisions and avenues available for their academic and professional enhancement. They were also made aware about various features and provisions of LPU Distance Education programmes which provide them opportunity to enhance their qualification along with their job.

Around 2000 police personnel attended the Seminar and expressed their desire to grow further academically and professionally.

An Educational Awareness seminar was conducted by LPU Distance Education officials for Army Personnel at Mamun Cantonment, Pathankot to make them aware about various provisions and avenues available for their academic and professional progress.They were also made aware about various features of LPU Distance Education programmes which are approved by UGC - Distance Education Bureau and provide working professionals opportunity to enhance their qualifications along with their jobs.

LPU Distance Education bagged 2nd runners up trophy in One India 2018 for representing the state of Sikkim

Two-day annual mega fest ‘One India-2018’ was held at Lovely Professional University Campus on 22nd and 23rd March 2018. More than 8000+ Regular and Distance Education student-participants from 29 states and 7 Union Territories of India worked together to represent unity in diversity of real India. During this 9th edition of the ‘One India’ fest, students celebrated the theme of “Festivals” characterised by full gaiety, colours, prayers, rituals and enthusiasm
Highlighting factor of the two-day celebration remained that students of a particular state were seen working and performing for the other states. Students thus availed a broadened opportunity to celebrate and pay respect to one-another’s culture and celebrations. During the conclusive part of the fest, valedictory ceremony witnessed grand cultural showcase of continuous dance performances of all the states of India and award ceremony for the winners.
LPU Distance Education students from Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Dasuya and other locations participated with great zeal to represent the cultural heritage and festivals of Sikkim. The contingent of LPU Distance Education bagged 2nd runners up position with cash reward of Rs. 10,000.
