LPU DE Students from Garhshanker, Hoshiarpur, Nangal, Fazilka, Jalalabad, Moga and Guru Har Sahai got Academic and Career Counselling at LPU
Hundreds of LPU DE Students from places Garhshanker, Hoshiarpur, Nangal, Fazilka, Jalalabad, Moga and Guru Har Sahai visited university campus on 1st and 8th April 2017 and interacted with university faculty and staff members for academic and career counselling.
Students cleared their doubts related to academics, study material, evaluation, certification, university events etc. They also shared their academic experiences and expressed their desire to make use of the extensive opportunities being extended to them at par with regular students.
In addition to the academic and career counselling, DE students were oriented about various aspects of LPU's Distance Education system through interactive presentations and were taken on the guided tour of the campus. Students who participated in recent university events were felicitated.

LPU DE students represented Nagaland and secured 1st runners up position in mega event "One India - 2017".
LPU DE students from Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Mohali, Chandigarh, Nawanshahr, Hoshiarpur, Dasuya and Sanewal participated in LPU’s mega event “One India” held on 22th & 23thMarch 2017 at University Campus and represented the state of Nagaland. The theme of this year’s One India was “World Peace”. The spirited performance of DE students, who collaborated with LPU regular students from Nagaland, got them first runners up position along with the cash award of Rs. 15,000.
DE students not only got the opportunity to learn and imbibe the cultural values of Nagaland but also got exposure to know about the diverse cultural heritage of various states of India by interacting with regular students belonging to different states of India. The fest is indeed proving to be a grand effort in binding students in a single knot of unity amid great cultural diversity.
Participation of following DE students was noteworthy in the event: Mr. Saurabh & Ms. Heena from Nawanshahr, Ms. Amanpreet & Ms. Naina from Sanewal. Students showcased culture, dresses, songs, dances, historical aspects, and colourful procession about Nagaland.
