Personal Contact Programme for Distance Education students held at LPU Campus from 29th September to 5th October 2016


A week long Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for Distance Education students recently concluded at Lovely Professional University campus. Hundreds of students from various locations of Punjab attended the PCP classes and interacted with expert university faculty for face to face academic counselling.
Based on the online registration of the students, university planned and conducted PCP classes in the disciplines of Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Commerce, Library & Information Sciences, Economics, Education, Mathematics, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Political Science, History and Sociology. Around 130 faculty members were engaged to conduct classes pertaining to 260+ courses. Students from places like Phagwara, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Malerkotla, Amritsar, Muktsar, Ropar, Mohali, Patiala, Tanda, Nabha, Nawanshahr, Malout, Abohar, Bathinda, Jagraon, Rajpura,  Kapurthala, Banga, Budhlada, Moga, Nakodar, Jalalabad, Ajnala, Mansa, Mahilpur, Sunam, Rayya, Chamkaur Sahib, Pathankot etc. attended the PCP classes. Out-stationed students resided in the university hostel during the PCP.
 
While sharing their experiences, one of the students quoted "It is a great opportunity for working professionals like us to get conceptual understanding of our courses from the expert faculty of the University and to get such wonderful exposure. Qualification upgradation would enhance our promotional avenues and would equip us with better skills to discharge our job related duties efficiently."
